I was born and raised just south of Seneca, SC, growing up in the 60-70's as a true southern girl!
A little bit Southern belle, a little bit tomboy and a whole lot of nature loving hippie!
I grew up loving the outdoors, nature, dogs and creating....art, baking, sewing--a little bit of everything!
The years after high school and college led to the "real job" in banking and a weekend business with my family in the 80's and 90's---"Sanders Country Store", open on weekends and at local arts/crafts festivals. I changed careers to Human Resources in 1995, married in 1997(to a guy I met in college in 1978!) With all the changes and my aging parents, my creative side got pushed aside.
After the loss of my Dad in 2005 and my Mom in 2012, I needed to create again.....something both of them encouraged me to do from the day I was able to walk.
During that time, a very special dog came along....Beauregard, better known as Beau.
I didn't rescue him, he rescued me. He changed my life in ways I never dreamed possible. I knew my next "creative chapter" had to be dedicated to him somehow.
"Le Beau" ......french for beautiful
"Carolina".....for my love for my South Carolina home
Beau left us a week after his 15th birthday, in March of 2021. His spirit walks beside me everyday, as I create "Beau's Bandanas". I love seeing the joy his bandanas give to dogs and their owners. You can learn more about Beau on the Beau page on this website.
Beau was always an "old soul". After losing him, I started to remember things that were dear to me--not only old dogs, but old memories, old friends and everything vintage. This led to an extension of Le Beau Carolina to include "Vintage Soul". See more on the Vintage Soul page.
